Grading Scale - International Programs

 

The following grading scale will be used for ALL classes taken as part of the International Business Immersion Programs.

 

Pre-departure assignments  (40%)

Details for these are outlined on the separate handouts.

Papers are to be delivered to the International Business Office, postmarked  prior to departure.

Late penalties will apply!

Do NOT:         e-mail me the papers

Hand them to me at the airport

I MUST have them before we leave!

 

On-site Assignments  (10%)

          To be completed while in Europe.  Include in the back of your trip diary                       

 

Trip Diary  (15%)

You should maintain a daily diary of your travel observations.  This should include a listing of Athings@ that you have noticed that are similar to home, and things that you noticed as being different.  It should also include a narrative of each day's activities.  Turn these in when we arrive in St Louis or to Demspter 246 on the first two days of classes.

 

Final Exam (taken on plane home)  (15%)

Essay exam.  Take it on the plane, turn it in as above.
 

Professionalism Points  (20%)

                           You all start out with maximum points in this category.  Points will be deducted for lack of professionalism
e.g. tardiness, inappropriate attire, lack of proper attention at any business meeting, any  inappropriate behavior which reflects badly on the program, etc.
