2006 International Study Program Provisional Itinerary May

Updated:      May 10, 2006
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARTICIPANTS:  Make sure you bring your passport,
> information available at http://travel.state.gov/ <, ATM card, and student ID. Keep a photo copy of your passport and credit cards in a separate location from the originals.  Once you receive your airline ticket you are responsible for keeping it safe.  Remember to pack light (remember, you may end up carrying your bags a long way if we get caught in a transportation strike in one of the cities in Europe); your bag should be between a total of 45-60 inches (width + length + height) and weigh no more than 35 pounds!!! Stuff a roll up duffel into your luggage if you plan to buy a lot of gifts in Paris to take home.  Bring a small carry-on bag (eg. school back pack) for initial travel needs.  Wear your "Program" pin on your black golf shirt to the St Louis and Chicago Airports.  Always be on time.  Carry a copy of this schedule with you at all times.  We have some tips about your trip and packing for it (Please read Tips)   Remember, you need to be very flexible on this program.  I can assure you that meetings and schedules will change as we progress on this trip.  There will be a lot of experiences significantly different (etiquette, behavior, governments, foods, people, languages, customs, airline travel, weather etc) than you are accustomed to at your home institution. As an additional point of consideration, it is suggested that you  purchase some type of travel insurance for this program.  While the choice is yours, a couple of companies that specialize in this type of travel insurance of which we are aware, include the following: Cultural Insurance Services International CISI at 800-303-8120 or Travelex Insurance Services at 1-800-228-9792.  PACK LIGHT 30-35 POUNDS MAX; BRING Wind up ALARM CLOCK; KEEP VALUABLES (PASSPORT, CREDIT CARDS, ATM CARD, MONEY) SAFE; Wear comfortable shoes;
 see Britain UK France Europe; Check your European Geography knowledge
